Changing Verbs to Present Tense

As students try to master the different elements of language arts, understanding about verbs is a critical element. The old adage of practice makes perfect is true with language arts skills too! This turtle diary game is an exercise in verb tense. Students read a series of sentences and rewrite each one in the present tense. This game helps students understand verb tense and reminds students that verb forms may be more than just adding or deleting "ed." In fact it may a completely different form of the verb as in irregular verbs. For students to be truly successful, mastering language art skills is vital.
