Word Fusion

Let's learn and understand what a prefix and a suffix is before we begin to explore the world of fusion words.
A prefix is a group of letters that is added to the beginning of a word to change it's meaning. Example: un + able = unable.
Prefix 'un' is added to able to get a new word, unable. Unable means not able to do something. dis + like = dislike.
Prefix 'dis' is added to like to get a new word, dislike. Dislike means not liking something. im + pure = impure.
Prefix 'im' is added to pure to get a new word, impure. Impure means not pure. A suffix is a group of letters that is added to the end of a word to change it's meaning. Example: read + able = readable.
Suffix 'able' is added to read to get a new word, readable. Readable means that which can be read.
sweet + en = sweeten.
Suffix 'en' is added to sweet to get a new word, sweeten. Sweeten means to make something sweet.
dance + er = dancer.
Suffix 'er' is added to dance to get a new word, dancer. Dancer means someone who dances well.
