Mean Part 2

Mean is the average of a group of numbers. It is calculated by adding all numbers in the group, and dividing the sum by the total count of the numbers in the group.

 

For example: Consider the group of numbers {4, 3, 4, 5, 8, 1, 1, 4, 3, 2}.

 

Sum of all the numbers = 4 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 8 + 1 + 1 + 4 + 3 + 2 = 35

The total count of the numbers is 10.

 

Now, divide the obtained sum by the total count of the numbers.

35 ÷ 10  = 3.5

So, the mean of the group of numbers is 3.5.
