Natural Resources of the Earth

A natural resource is something that is found in nature and can be used by people. Natural resources include water, soil, trees, other plants, and animals. People use natural resources to live and grow. There are plenty of natural resources available on earth. Some natural resources can be replaced quickly, while others take years to form. We can conserve natural resources by recycling, reusing, and reducing the use of these resources. To conserve something is to save it for future use. Recycling means making new things out of old things. A geologist is a scientist who studies Earth and the materials on it such as rocks, soil, and water. Geology is the study of rocks, minerals, and soil. Geologists work and study all over the world.
