An even number is a number that ends with the digit 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. It is divisible by 2. For example: 18, 30.
An odd number is a number that ends with the digit 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9. It is not divisible by 2. For example: 21, 35.
Properties of even and odd numbers:

even + odd = odd | odd + even = odd |
even – even = even | odd – odd = even |
even – odd = odd | odd – even = odd |
For example:
Consider the addition expression 66 + 6.
Here, the first number 66 ends with 6, which is an even number.
So, 66 is even.
Similarly, the second number 6 is also an even number.
According to the rule:
Even + Even = Even
So, 66 + 6 is even.
