A graph is a picture of a group of numbers.

Data is a list of numbers that gives you information. Depending on the kind of data you have, you can choose between different types of graphs.

Bar graphs show the relationship between two pieces of information, usually a measurement of something in different categories.

To create a bar graph, follow these steps:

Plot each piece of information.
Draw a bar under each point.
