Precipitation
Precipitation is the part of the water cycle in which liquid falls to the Earth in the form of snow, rain, hail, or even sleet. Without precipitation, all of the land on Earth would be a big desert! Plants, people, and other animals need the water that falls to the ground in order to survive.
